Package: Excellent Package available - DOE Benefits: Attractive pension, health for employee/spouse and children Performance related annual bonus We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Quality & Technical Manager to join our client's team. As the Quality & Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products and services meet the highest quality standards and technical specifications. You will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, quality control, and technical processes within our organisation. This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, has excellent problem-solving skills, and is passionate about maintaining the highest levels of quality in a fast-paced environment. Purpose of role: The purpose of the role is to ensure the quality, safety, and legality of all products. To ensure continued certification (BRC, FSC, ISO) to external and customer standards & that the management system & site processes are continuously challenged to ensure best practices are in place. Main duties & responsibilities: Review and maintain the management system to ensure best practices are in place and processes are in place to challenge the system with a view for continual improvement. Facilitate external and customer audits to ensure continued certification. Support the manufacturing function to ensure products are manufactured according to specification & customer requirements, along with achieving a consistent high level of quality, Ensure the quality, legality & safety of all products in compliance with external & customer accreditation's or requirements, Manage the laboratory function including the raw material & product testing schedules, Maintain the environmental & sustainability programme for the site, Maintain the legal register to ensure products, packaging and processes meet legal requirements. Manage the FSC process for co-packed stock. Support the marketing function as required, artwork review, sample review, NPD projects, etc. General responsibilities: Adhere to and practice the company's Health & Safety rules & polices at all times. Adhere to and practice the company's Quality, Environmental & production rules & polices at all times. Report any accident, incident, potential incident, or suggested improvement relating to safety, quality, environment or operations to your manager or member of the management team. Stop the line or task immediately in the event of an issue or potential issue which may affect the safety of employees or affect the quality, safety, or legality of Standard Brands products. Participate in training programmes as identified by your supervisor to aid effective completion of the role. Support the continued certification of external & customer standards by supporting the quality, OH&S and production teams. Complete other tasks outside the specific role to meet the needs of the business. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a science related discipline, chemistry preferable. 3-5 year's experience in a Senior Quality or Technical role in a manufacturing environment, Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies Experience leading external audits; BRC, ISO, customers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
