Our client, a multinational manufacturing company now has an exciting opportunity for an Operations and Engineering Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the management and oversight of the day to day operations. Provide direction and leadership to the Engineering teams to optimise assets at multiple sites to deliver reliable supply of products to meet planned output requirements. As part of the Leadership Team, you will support the development and delivery of the team’s strategy and goals Responsibilities: Managing the day-to-day operations to ensure continuous supply of products Collaborate with TPMs to optimize process efficiency (OEE & Yield) to ensure that all ADC assets are properly controlled and utilized. Spearhead improvement projects to ensure they are properly controlled, executed and approved in accordance with ADC requirements. Builds & leads a high performing and engaged team that are aligned with business strategy and are both empowered and accountable to deliver sustained results. Focus on creation of talent pipeline. Collaborates with support functions and TPMs, maintaining excellent working relationships while executing decisions in full consideration of financial, technical, legal, regulatory and quality EHS standards. Provide technical guidance and support as part of the Eng team and solve complex problems effectively. Communicate effectively to Senior Leadership on Root Cause, Corrective and Preventative Actions. Leverages a thorough knowledge of operational excellence principles to deliver optimum production outputs and drive quality, cost, lead-time and safety improvements. Must be able to action tactical plans to support the strategic objectives of the business. Generate, control and deliver applicable financial plans including, departmental budgets and headcount plans and understand impact to wider business. Establish Goals and ensure that best practice engineering standards are maintained across the organization. Develop staff to become process SMEs with regard to all equipment, ensuring swift transfer of knowledge TPMs. Review and agree engineering resource levels on TPM facilities to ensure continuity of service. Responsible for ensuring that the Department quality system is implemented and that its effectiveness is maintained (e.g. Training Records, closure of ER/CAPAs, DM PM activities). Qualifications and Education: Minimum NFQ level 7 qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing Science or similar. Knowledge of design control, validation in a GMP environment. Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering complex projects. Ability to manage cross functional relationships including external stakeholders. Experience in the improvement and optimisation of a highly complex high volumes automation equipment. A proven problem solver who can set clear strategy and prioritise. A proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Ability to take prompt action to accomplish objectives and to work under own initiative.
