You must have valid Irish, UK, or EU work rights to be considered for this roleLocation: Cherrywood, Dublin 18 with hybrid workingTo be considered for this position you must be coming from a financial services background - an insurance background would be ideal.Aviva's operation resilience analyst position is an opportunity for the right candidate to gain wide-ranging insights into how an insurance business operates, due to the extensive interactions you’ll have with senior stakeholders, from all areas of Aviva’s Life & Pensions business. You will be working with various business areas like Group, risk, and internal audit. Your team will also take the lead on crisis management (i.e. extreme weather events).This position may suit you if you’re coming from a Business Analysis background, as you’ll be gathering requirements and gleaning insights from various parts of the business. It may also suit you if you are coming from an accomplished mid-level role in an insurance organisation and want to grow your career through gaining more exposure to different areas of the business model. You will be shadowing the operational resilience lead and supporting their work.This position is a rare opportunity, and ideal if you have the right experience to take a positive next step in your career journey.Key aspects of role:Work alongside Life Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to review the Operational resilience universe, including a review of the existing impact tolerances, detailed mapping etc. Work alongside Ireland Life SMEs to document disruption of key business services through risk and recovery plansHelp to draft plans/responses in clear and accessible language both written and verbal to ensure the risks are understood by the different stakeholdersProvide independent review and challenge of SMEs plansWork with Business Service owners to develop and continually improve the effectiveness of the business’s Operational Resilience capability.Ensure any plans/testing is compliant with the Operational Resilience FrameworkSupport with scenario testing including tracking the closure of any remediation activities as requiredWork alongside risk to support review and sign offDefine, build & document appropriate controlsSupport with the preparation of packs, MI and minutes when requiredSupport with crisis management activity as and when it occursSupport the business in transitioning from Operational Resilience programme activities into a continually improving business as usual operating modelSkills and experience we’re looking for:Ability to meet short-term deadlines while progressing longer-term objectivesPersonal accountability ensuring quality deliverablesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailVery strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to work across sites and a willingness to work with colleagues from across the GroupGood communication skills – ability to communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and to explain implications of decisions.
