The perfect balance!   Key Purpose of the Role: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of quality within manufacturing and supply chain activities. The role includes leadership responsibility for 2 Quality Technicians currently covering a production shift rota. You will be expected to take a lead role in problem-solving, supporting, and coaching using recognised lean initiatives such as RCA, 5 Why's and 8D. This role will work closely with Production, Engineering and R&D Teams to ensure smooth execution of changes and new product introduction.     Key Responsibilities Working with the senior management team to develop and maintain quality strategies, KPIs and policies for the business. Maintaining the Quality Management Systems - working with the Management Systems and Compliance Specialist. Supporting New Product introduction from a quality perspective, working closely with both Engineering and Design Teams. Undertaking both internal audits and external supplier audits. Leadership of Supplier Quality Assurance activities in conjunction with purchasing. Playing a lead role during product development. Utilise your knowledge of the latest regulatory standards for product testing. Drive and embed robust preventative corrective actions in response to any product returns. Take lead in En10-90, ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 audits and conduct routine internal audits on this standard. Qualifications: Degree qualifications (Level 8) within Quality or Manufacturing Solid and stable experience in a quality of manufacturing role Experience in leading ISO 9001 and EN1090 auditing Structured, self-motivated and passionate about quality. Time served in an Engineering discipline would be highly regarded. Result oriented individual who is comfortable dealing with cross-functional teams.
