Job Title: Leisure Centre Manager Reporting to: Management/Directors Objective: To oversee all aspects of Leisure Centre operations, ensuring maximum revenue and memberships while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism. Aim to position the Leisure Centre as a market leader through exceptional service, and achieve recognition through industry awards. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Implement and manage all cash handling, hygiene, and safety procedures. Develop and oversee exercise programs, ensuring all classes are conducted by qualified instructors and scheduled in coordination with the sales team. Maintain and regularly service equipment, ensuring all facilities meet high standards. Manage stock levels, conduct monthly stock takes, and ensure proper chemical usage and record-keeping. Compile and manage staff rotas, ensuring timely submission of timesheets. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and induct new staff, ensuring they are fully briefed on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs). Ensure staff adhere to company standards for conduct, uniform, and personal hygiene. Lead by example, fostering a positive team ethos and motivating staff to achieve and maintain 4* standards. Address poor performance through informal reprimands and, when necessary, formal disciplinary actions in coordination with HR. Customer Service & Relations: Address and resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently. Regularly check customer satisfaction, ensuring guest feedback is handled professionally to maintain a positive hotel reputation. Promote the hotel and its facilities to prospective guests to maximize sales and revenue. Administration & Compliance: Liaise regularly with HR, General Manager, and Directors on departmental performance and relevant issues. Ensure compliance with all legislative and licensing requirements. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all areas, adhering to cleaning rotas and keeping accurate records. Manage and document incidents, accidents, and maintenance issues, ensuring proper logging and communication. Strategic Planning: Develop and monitor income, expenditure, health & safety, staffing, and marketing strategies for the Leisure Centre. Attend HOD and company meetings as requested, contributing to the overall success of the business. Be proactive in problem-solving, using initiative to address issues and capitalize on opportunities. Requirements: Proven experience in leisure management or a related field. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
