Logistics/Site planner A leading Bio pharmaceutical company based Clare, is seeking a Logistics/ Site planner to join their team in their Shannon office. Open to experience levels, this is a fantastic opportunity to get into this industry with one of it’s biggest names,Logistics Planning Responsibilities • Manages the planning of Transportation Movements with all approved transportation companies and storage facilities, on behalf of ExM from all sites (CMOs, DCs, Intercompany etc) for EMEA/APAC. • Manages, resolves issues, implements improvements and ultimately fosters relations between CMO’s and approved transportation companies. • Manages transportation redeployments to markets and returns to manufacturing sites. • Assist with the Investigation, and successful resolution, of Transportation & Distribution incidents on behalf of ExM in Infinity. • Utilises the LIR Tool to facilitate the investigation of Transportation and Disytibution Incidents. • As required attends Quarterly Business Reviews with approved Transportation Companies to drive Performance, Mitigate Risks and ensure alignment with ExM goals and objectives. • Demonstrates that Logistics are managed in the most efficient and cost effective manner by utilising OPEX tools to drive Continuous Improvement to meet, and exceed customer expectations. • Responsible for reviewing, analysing and authorising Vendor Logistics InvoicesSite Support Responsibilities • Support the Warehousing team by acting as back-up for verifying receipts and shipments • Support Facility Management Company and create FMIS requests for Shannon facility, attend FM meetings as required • Support Site Leader by organising Site repairs and maintenance with vendors • Support the Procurement Group by obtaining quotes from suppliers within the Shannon Facility • Raise electronic requisitions which in turn converts into a Purchase Order/Service Order • Follow up on Invoice query’s and pricing issues relating to these PO/SO’s • Support with updating / maintaining audio visual equipment at site with vendors • Update training file for all contractor training completed in Lawrence • Process courier shipments • Ensure SOP’s are adhered to at all times • Update Electronic Visual Display as required • Perform receptionist duties including first point of contact for visitors to the siteDesired Qualifications & Experience • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical & presentation skills. • Proven ability to prioritise, organise and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines. • Three years previous experience within a Supply Chain environment, preferably within the “Life Sciences” sector. • Knowledge of GMP, GDP & Quality protocolsRequired Competencies • Must have knowledge of and model the core behaviours (Passion, Speed, Accountability, Innovation, Integrity). • Proactive and positive attitude • Knowledge of Supply Chain, products and markets. • Good understanding of business specific organisations & functions (Quality, Finance, Procurement, EHS, Supply Chain). • Creates and maintains strong working relationships within the organisation and externally with customers, approved Logistics providers & CMOs. • Self-driven with a strong customer focus and possess skillset to work on own initiative within a team environment to drive issues to resolution.Beneficial competencies • Capability in the use of OPEX tools for root cause analysis. Ability to close-out investigations and issues with CMOs and approved Transportation companies. • Ability to translate technical issues into business impact and relevant solutions. • Knowledge of Customs clearance import and export procedures for shipments moving between EU & Non-EU locations. • Knowledge of the Classification, Preparation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods to ensure compliance with IATA, ADR & IMDG regulations. • Knowledge of Packaging & Transportation solutions to mitigate against logistics incidents that could jeopardise the integrity of pharmaceutical product. • Appreciation of performance metrics and their value in influencing Supply Chain results. • Working Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Packages, Outlook, Skype for Business & Web based ApplicationsFor more information and a confidential chat, feel free to reach out to me on or call me on 01-
