Graduate BIM Design Engineer

Are you a Mechanical Engineering student looking to kick start your career with dynamic and progressive engineering company?   Rockwell are currently recruiting a Graduate BIM Design Engineer to join our team on a permanent & full-time basis.   The initial location for this position will be Rockwell's headquarters in Cork City. However, willingness and ability to travel within Ireland is required for this position.   About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager and Lead Engineer, the Graduate BIM Engineer will work on our key projects and assist in carrying the projects through to successful completion.   Key duties of the role include, but are not restricted to:   Design and Drafting: -       Utilise BIM software to create accurate 3D models, drawings, and simulations. -       Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) under the guidance of senior engineers. -       Assist in the development of design concepts for mechanical components and systems. Problem-solving: -       Conduct class detection and resolution to ensure deign integrity. -       Analyse and troubleshoot engineering issues, proposing, and implementing solutions under the guidance of more experienced team members. -       Learn and apply problem-solving methodologies to address technical challenges. Quality Assurance: -       Contribute to quality control processes by participating in design reviews and inspections. -       Assist in the identification and resolution of issues related to design and manufacturing. Compliance and Standards: -       Ensure that engineering designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. -       Collaborate with senior engineers to address compliance-related considerations. Client Interaction: -       Support communication with clients by providing updates on project progress and addressing client inquiries under the guidance of senior team members. -       Develop effective communication skills to interact with clients professionally.   Health and Safety: -       Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the workplace and contribute to creating a safe engineering environment. Collaboration: -       Collaborate with the design team to develop details BIM models for projects. -       Support the integration of BIM with other project management tools and processes. -        Communicate effectively with all team members and project stakeholders.
