BMS Software Engineer | There is work all over Ireland, site work would be required as needed (Final Software Commissioning, Service contracts) | The majority of work can be done from the office/home | Full Time | €50,000 and €70,000 depending on experience - negotiable We are a controls company with over 40 years in Multiple Sectors, including Pharma, Healthcare, Commercial, OPW, Industrial and more. Are you the right person for the job? Bachelor’s degree in engineering (will be an advantage) in Computer Science, Electronics, Electro-mechanical, Electrical or equivalent training/experience, Mechanical or equivalent Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent communication skills – written and oral Instrumentation and measurement experience is a distinct advantage Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving Strong understanding of Networking and communication protocols Ability to read and understand Process Descriptions and P & ID’s Highly motivated and self-starter Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong interest in automation engineering Ability to travel – Valid, full, clean driver’s licence Must have the right to work in Ireland/EU Additional skills/training The following systems will be used, experience in one or multiple systems will be required: Cylon Tridium Trend What will your role look like? Plan and implement engineering projects at each phase including software design, documentation, software/graphics, commissioning and hand-over to the client as required Hardware & software abilities are required Assist in controls & automation designs for projects Preparation of Functional Design Specification (FDS) and Detailed Design Specification (DDS) from the User Requirement Specification (URS) Develop, test and install high quality control software code (PC and or HMI) Testing of control panels and automation including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Operational and Maintenance Manuals (O&M’s) must be complied with per project from the FDS and site modifications Work in a cross-functional multidiscipline team environment / individually as a project demands Fault finding within systems and correction of the same Give reports back regularly Technical Support and make informed decisions on hardware and software architecture selections Commissioning on site Ensure that you meet the Quality requirements of our customers Ensure that the company safety standards are met, and safe working practices adhered to Any other task as assigned by Management taking into account your training skills and experience What can you expect in return?
