You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless integration of solar systems onto rooftops while maintaining the structural integrity and weathertightness of the roofs. Full training will be provided. Roles and responsibilities As a Solar Panel Installer Roofer, you will be responsible for the seamless integration of solar panels into various roofing structures. Your role will involve: Solar Panel Installation: Safely and efficiently install solar panels on different roofing materials, taking into account the specific requirements of each installation. Electrical Integration: Collaborate with electricians to connect solar panels to the electrical system, ensuring proper wiring and adherence to safety standards.(DC electrical only) Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee the quality of both roofing and solar panel installations. Address any issues promptly and ensure installations meet industry standards. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including electricians and project managers, to coordinate installation processes and ensure project deadlines are met. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, especially when working at heights and handling electrical equipment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation activities, roofing assessments, and any modifications made during the installation process. Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, addressing any questions they may have. Requirements Proven experience as a roofer with a strong understanding of various roofing materials and installation techniques. Familiarity with solar panel installation, electrical integration, or a willingness to learn. Ability to work comfortably at heights. Knowledge of safety procedures and practices, including proper equipment usage and hazard identification. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Physically fit with the capability to work outdoors and at various heights in changing weather conditions. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid Irish Full driver’s licence.
