Job Summary The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for supporting the Retail Manager in seeking opportunities to maximise sales turnover, profitability and market share. They are accountable for achieving this by; taking effective action to maximise profit through achieving sales consistently delivering the Brand expectations on sales and service, operations and product taking action to maintain standards which reflect the Brand image Sales and Service · Advise team members of staff rota’s helping them understand expectations · Help and support team members in understanding all additional sales avenues i.e. eventing, Omni and digital channels, etc. · Consistently deliver Brand service and sales expectations · Keep up to date with competitor activity · Observe and monitor service levels providing feedback as and when required · Help team members understand daily/weekly targets and how to achieve Brand KPI’s · Effectively use and encourage the teams use of social media to leverage opportunities to drive the business, protect and enhance the Brand image. · Support the delivery of the Brand Strategy and local plan · Support the local marketing and events plan · Act as a role model for the team in all aspects of sales and service, creating a zero consumer complaints mind-set and a surprise and delight culture · Ensure all refunds and complaints are handled in line with Company guidelines and to a mutually satisfactory conclusion, informing/consulting with the Retail Manager where appropriate · Support the upskilling of the team with the use of Brand education digital tools and resources · Provide coaching and feedback to the team on consumer service, sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance · Support the consumer recruitment and retention plan to grow a loyal consumer base · Support the team to keep knowledge up to date through the attendance of training schools and use of Company training resources. Take personal responsibility through leading by example Team Management · Support the induction, retention and development of a high calibre team in line with company processes · Support the team in the awareness of company standards, Policies and Procedures that relate to their role · Help and support the team to achieve and maintain the required standard of conduct and job performance, escalating any concerns to the Retail Manager · Ensure any appropriate communications are made available and cascaded to the team · Escalate any skills gaps and training needs of team, supporting the appropriate development · Communicate effectively with team to create a culture of high engagement · Help and support the team to achieve and maintain the required standard of conduct and job performance, escalating concerns and risks to the Retail Manager Operations · Help and support the team to deliver excellent retail standards at all times (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing) · Identify any team members falling below the required standards, take appropriate action and/or escalate to the Retail Manager · Help and support the team to complete deliveries, stock movements and associated administration within agreed company timeframes · Action any auditable processes and ensure administration is delivered to company guidelines · Respond timely and effectively to all information requests · Minimise stock loss by supporting the team to comply with all company Security Policies and Procedures · Support the team in working effectively in line with all Company and Retailer Health and Safety Policies and Procedures · Ensure personal awareness Health & Safety responsibilities in all areas of operational activity and advise the team of their responsibilities Commerciality · Support the management of daily replenishment, taking appropriate action where necessary · Action visual merchandising layouts ensuring they are completed to guidelines and within agreed timescales · Support the communication of company expectations, help and advise the team to ensure standards are maintained · Support the Retail Manger in effectively planning for and communicating all promotions and discounts and action in line with company guidelines. · Identify trends and make suggestions to enhance product performance, encouraging team members to do the same Qualifications Essential · Experience in retail and/or consumer facing environment · Ability to learn quickly · Awareness of industry · Effective communication skills · Possess and acts upon initiative Job: Retail - Store Primary Location: IE-L-Dublin Job Type: Standard Schedule: Full-time Shift: Variable Job Number: 243642
