Regional Director, Design Build Lead (Water)

Job Description What your new role will entail; As the Design Build Lead within Water Engineering, Ireland, you will join a long-established, high-performing team in the delivery of the full range of consultancy services to strategic clients including Northern Ireland Water, Uisce Éireann, and our Tier 1 contractor partners. In this role you will be a key member of the Water Ireland Leadership team, working with your peers to drive our growth and delivery objectives, with a particular focus on the delivery of design-build projects and the development of our design-build portfolio. Reporting to the Director for Water Engineering, Ireland & Scotland, you will have the following key responsibilities: Growth Development of the design-build portfolio. Relationship management with our contract partners. Development of the design-build delivery team. Strategy alignment, positioning, bid leadership and governance. Mining of existing framework appointments, securing reappointment, and winning new appointments. Securing strategic pursuits. Support the Northern Ireland Water CAM. Support the Uisce Éireann CAM. Delivery Act as delivery lead for design-build and major projects. Support the Director in achieving the financial plan and growth metrics. Contribute to the continued development of our SHE culture. Resource management, forecasting, and recruitment. Ensure compliance with governance requirements. Ensure compliance with quality systems. People management, support, and guidance; line management. Support staff engagement as part of the retention strategy. Fulfil the role of Project Director/Approver to provide oversight of assigned programmes and projects in support of PMs and delivery staff. Champion collaborative working across UK&I Water teams, end markets, and EC. Being part of the team; Our 140 water staff operate from five locations on the Island in an integrated delivery model. They are a dynamic mix of experienced senior leaders, high-calibre mid-career professionals, and high-potential early careers staff. With long-term appointments and a large future pipeline, significant opportunities exist for personal and professional growth. With existing appointments to major frameworks with Northern Ireland Water and Uisce Éireann, and standalone major projects such as Sydenham Pumping Station, Kinnegar WwTW and Stillorgan Reservoir, you will drive future success from an existing position of strength. You will deliver organic growth within our core Design Build team and link up with your peers across all Water Engineering disciplines to maximise the benefit of our combined offer and secure key new wins. As part of the AECOM Water UK&I business, you will also contribute to our wider design build team, linking up with your peers in equivalent roles in GB and beyond. Qualifications Here's what we will need from you; Degree qualified in an engineering or construction discipline. Chartered status (or approaching chartered status) Experience leading design delivery in a design-build environment. Contract management experience utilising a variety of forms. Experience operating in a digital delivery environment. Track record in client relationship development and work winning. Experience in stakeholder and contract partner relationship management.
