As the world leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals bring their commitment to accuracy and quality to deliver groundbreaking innovations.Discover Impactful Work:The role of Cell lab Scientist's primary responsibilities involves supporting the design, conduct and oversight of development projects to create and validate new bioassay methods, enhancing existing methods, and transferring client-provided methods.A day in the Life Under limited supervision, the Scientist's primary responsibilities involve supporting the design, conduct and oversight of development projects to create and validate new bioassay methods, enhancing existing methods, and transferring client-provided methods.Collaborating with clients on an ongoing basis with project updates.Training / Mentoring junior scientists on the teamTroubleshooting of instruments and method performance, andPreparing technical reports and papers.Hands-on quantitative and qualitative analysis using immunochemistry or cell-based assay techniques.Working within ICH and USP guidelines and FDA GMP regulatory requirements.Education and ExperienceDegree or equivalent in Life science Biochemistry, immunology or cell biologyIn some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.2-3 years previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Mammalian cell culture experience, bioassaysFlow cytometry, qPCR, ddPCR is an advantageExperience in developing cellular and immunologically based assaysAbility to use Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasksProven ability in technical writing skillsProven problem solving and troubleshooting abilitiesTime management and project management skillsGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative work environment with a team as well as working off own initiative.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring frequent changes in priorities.Ability to train/mentor junior staff.Work Environment Thermo Fisher Scientific values the health and wellbeing of our employees.
