Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Offaly At Kelly, we have partnered with a Medical Device company in the Offaly area to recruit for a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will contribute to the company by leading critical plant projects and core project teams in the areas of new process. You will have strong Project Management skills and experience within the Medical Device industry or another regulated industry.Responsibilities: Leading plant projects in automation, product transfers, material change/ qualification, product branding, cost reduction, continuous improvement (OpEx), energy and maintenance excellence.Responsible for successful project execution following a structured stage gate process, meeting all key deliverables and metricsProvide expertise on project execution to industry and/ or company standardsSupport other projects and initiatives across the plant where required, liaising effectively with internal and external customersParticipate in departmental and site initiatives designed to drives continuous improvement and individual developmentGenerate technical protocols and reports that will support change control deliverables such as process optimization, design verification, stability, packaging qualifications and validation qualificationsAdhere to GMP based Quality Systems requirements for medical devices and medicinal product (e.g. MDD, EU GMP Guidelines Vol IV Part 1 for medicinal product, ISO 13485).Commit to working within the ethos of the company mission, Medical Devices & Supplies Guide to Compliance and Quality Manufacturing and the company guide to business conductDynamic Team Leader who can work effectively and proactively on cross functional teamsSuccessfully lead both local and global teams to deliver all project requirements associated with cost, time and functionality, ensuring that all KPI targets are achievedConsistently adhere to project management standard practices in the areas of Initiation, Planning, Execution, Controlling and Closing (PMBOK)Prepare User Requirements Specifications (URS) matching customer needs, Project Charters, Capital Expense Requests (CERs), Project Plans, Site and Factory Acceptance Test ProtocolsEnsure all Change Controls requirements are satisfied and conduct all business ensuring compliance with appropriate standardsTrack and report out on projects using standard identified templates and ensuring all necessary information is available to key stakeholders including OpEx Leader, Financial Controller and Engineering ManagerFollow all elements of the Corporate Procurement Manuals, ensuring that project files are suitable for audit if requiredUse Six Sigma and Lean principles where appropriate to effectively execute projectsContribute effectively to generation of continuous improvement opportunities which will feed into sire OpEx plan for subsequent yearsSupport other projects and initiatives across the plan where required, liaising effectively with internal and external customers Requirements: Ideally have formal Project Management Certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2 or equivalent)3+ Years’ experience in a Project Engineering role within Manufacturing or Engineering Project Management functions with the ability to take on high profile projectsBroad knowledge of materials and processes applicable to medical device industry Experience within a Project Engineering role within Manufacturing and/or Engineering Project Management functionsAbility to lead and execute high profile projectsExperience delivering projects from conception to completion resulting in significant cost savings and process improvementsCompetent in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing TechniquesInnovative, proactive, and organized with excellent attention to detail and quality awarenessStrong communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speakingExperience of Medical Device industry regulations, manufacturing engineering and the ability to manage self and others to achieve challenging targets is advantageous Kelly Services are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this role.
