Job Title: Accounts Administrator Location: Ballivor, Meath Employment Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Company Overview: We are a well-established transport company offering car servicing and tyre sales. With a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our team in Ballivor, Meath. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations across our two businesses. Key Responsibilities: Wage Control: Handle payroll processes ensuring accurate and timely payments. Maintain payroll records, tax returns, and compliance with regulations. Sales Invoices Management: Generate, process, and upload sales invoices in QuickBooks. Ensure all invoices are properly recorded and reconciled with the sales ledger. VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with Irish tax regulations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all submissions. Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements. Provide financial reports and insights to assist management in decision-making. KPI Tracking: Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for both the transport and car servicing businesses. Analyse performance data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency. General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial records. QuickBooks Usage: Efficiently utilize QuickBooks to manage the companys financial transactions and reporting. Stay up-to-date with system updates and ensure optimal usage of accounting software. Qualifications & Experience Required: Previous experience in an accountancy role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll management. Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential. Experience with VAT returns and management accounts. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to solving financial issues. Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work under pressure. Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
