Southview Veterinary Hospital are seeking a Practice Manager for their Tipperary based practice.About Us Southview Veterinary Hospital is a busy, small animal hospital which has been renovated and extended in 2020. It is a purpose-built building with specialist rooms (i.e., fully equipped Idexx Lab, Xray Room, Dental Room with Dental Xray, Hydrotherapy/Physio Room). We also perform laparoscopic neutering. We are based in Clonmel which is a busy town with fabulous views of the Comeragh Mountains and Slievenamon. With the Blueway along the River Suir just a minutes’ walk from our hospital, lunch time walks can be very enjoyable! If city shopping is your thing, we are just an hour from Cork, Waterford, or Limerick. About our Team and Culture We have a large team of qualified and experienced professionals that are eager and encouraged to specialise in different areas. With 7 vets, 5 nurses, 2 ACAs, 2 dedicated receptionists, a groomer and many admin, we all work together to ensure our patients and clients are receiving the best possible care and service. Specialities within our hospital include Cardiology, Ultrasound, Orthopaedics, Reproduction, Physio/Hydrotherapy and Anaesthesia. All nurses and vets are encouraged and funded to become certificate holders in areas of interest. The Role The role of Practice Manager is a dynamic and varied role which includes, but is not limited to the following: Ensuring that all support functions within the practice always run efficiently through clear communication, leadership and management. To always set an example of professional conduct. To support projects instigated by the Clinical Directors and the Group with the aim of driving the business forward. To be receptive to new ideas & encourage the full practice teams involvement. Ensure all group policies and procedures, both financial and non-financial are implemented and respected. Office Management Staff Management (to include preparing rotas & approving leave) Liaise with ASM and colleagues at Head Office to ensure effective communication, co-ordination and co-operation. Carry out additional duties requested by partners or senior management Communication with company reps about promotions, offers & materials for the practice Communication with charities Marketing & Business development Liaising with the Talent Partner for recruitment requirements, interviewing and selecting suitable candidates. Managing and resolving customer complaints Liaising with HR to handle any employee relations or concerns. We are happy to discuss either a 4 or 5 day week (32hours over 4 days or 39 hours over 5 days).8:30am-5:30pm Salary is up to €45,000 pro rata, depending on experience. Applicant Requirements Our ideal candidate would demonstrate: Strong people skills and effective communication skills are essential. Friendly, fair and compassionate personality.
