Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Quality Analyst in Dublin 11. This is a permanent, full time role. €30,000 - €35,000 depending on experience 8am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday Main duties: Conduct regular AM and PM Quality Control checks along with analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with Quality Standards. Perform microbiological, chemical, and sensory analyses of beer samples using standard laboratory equipment and techniques. Maintain accurate records of all quality control tests and results, ensuring traceability and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the brewing and production teams to identify areas for continuous improvement in the brewing process and implement corrective actions. Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes, including sanitation, hygiene, and product testing protocols. Monitor and enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards throughout the brewery. Participate and assist development of sensory evaluation panels to assess beer flavour profiles, aging beer profile, recipe consistency, and overall quality. You will assist in the investigation of non-conformances and consumer/customer complaints or day to day quality issues, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for resolution. With the support of the team, you will stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in quality control and brewing science. You will have a willingness to train in and respond to the needs of Production to support a small team environment encompassing many day-to-day tasks in the Business. Support the third-party lab analysis schedule by taking, booking in and reporting third party lab results. Main requirements: Previous experience in a QC / QA role within the brewing industry is highly desirable. An IBD or Heriot-Watt Brewing qualifications at any level are desirable. Any Brewing, Packaging or Senior Operator experience in brewing or distilling is desirable. Third Level education in Brewing, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry are desired but not essential. Homebrewers who work in Pharma Quality or have Dairy or Beverage packaging experience at supervisory / senior operator level are welcome to apply. Strong knowledge of brewing processes, beer styles, and quality control principles. HACCP QQI Level 5 or 6 would be an advantage. Proficiency in conducting laboratory analyses, including but not limited to microbiological, chemical, and sensory testing. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), HACCP principles, and regulatory requirements for food and beverage production.
