FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of Area Sales Manager - Agri. This role comes on behalf of our Clients who are global agribusiness with exciting consumer brands and a diverse portfolio across dairy ingredients, consumer foods and health & nutrition, retail and lifestyle stores, animal nutrition and livestock marts. The Agribusiness Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance and management of their allocated retail branch network across Sligo & Donegal. This role involves driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring excellent customer service across multiple retail outlets. Successful candidates will possess a blend of retail management expertise, commercial acumen, and in-depth knowledge of agricultural inputs and farm operations. Attractive salary & Bonus & Benefits Role: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned retail branch network, ensuring each location achieves its sales, profitability, and customer service targets. * Lead and motivate branch managers and their teams to deliver a consistently high standard of customer service, operational efficiency, and stock management. * Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) across the branch network, such as sales growth, margin performance, stock turnover, and customer satisfaction. * Implement best practices in retail operations, merchandising, stock control, and health and safety to ensure operational excellence across all branches. * Develop and execute business strategies that align with the Agribusiness division's goals, driving footfall and customer engagement. * Conduct regular branch visits to support the team, assess performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. * Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching to both branch managers and the Farm Commercial Specialist team to ensure alignment with the co-operative's vision and objectives. * Identify training and development needs for staff and implement programs that enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and commercial expertise. * Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the agribusiness teams. * Lead efforts to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer service across all retail locations. * Ensure compliance to all legislative and business processes and procedures. * Any other relevant duties that may arise from time to time. Candidate Profile: * Third Level qualification in Agriculture, Business or related field. * Proven track record in sales management, team leadership and achievement of business objectives. * Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and customers. * Ability to manage multiple locations and teams in a fast-paced environment. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Appropriate retail experience with good knowledge of Agri sector and requirements. Preferably some previous managerial experience in retail environment. Good business acumen and people skills.
