We have the perfect opportunity for you!Our client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their Capital & Estates Department in the West Dublin area. The successful candidate will oversee minor and major capital works within the region, tendering projects, managing contractors, managing design teams and communicating with the various stakeholders.This is an initial 1-year contract role which offers great scope for extension and future permanency.Benefits35 hour working week. (9:00-16:30)30 days of annual leave (excl. bank holidays!)Travel expenses and subsistence allowanceHybrid workPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities Arrange for the preparation of specifications, drawings, and contract documents for Capital Projects, developing proposals with selected design teams and contractors.Develop action plans for timely and efficient contract completion, coordinating the tender and control stages with the design team, site supervisory staff, and hospital personnel.Supervise staff and contractors in implementing agreed programs, working with service management and nurse planners to ensure the equipping/commissioning team is established, briefed, trained, and supported.Manage and control project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards and resolving or escalating issues related to phasing, variations, commissioning, and vacating.Oversee project expenditures, presenting financial updates and forecasts to senior management and the Project Board, and ensuring appropriate maintenance arrangements for new buildings.Manage the preparation and dissemination of comprehensive project briefs in consultation with services, capital, and estates personnel, ensuring all stakeholders understand the project details.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, act as the senior administrative officer to resolve issues, define requirements for design services and equipment, and advise on the selection and procurement of Design Teams and ContractorsCandidates must at the latest date of application: i) Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Architecture, Engineering or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute ( Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Engineers Ireland, Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland). or Have Membership of the relevant professional association: – Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. – Engineers Ireland – Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland or Be eligible for registration under the Building Control Act 2007, without requiring further assessment as it applies to your qualified disciplineKnowledge & Experience • A high level of knowledge and experience of the construction of buildings and building services and an understanding of the maintenance requirements.• Leadership and team management skills including the ability to work with multi disciplinary team members and also the ability to motivate, train, develop and manage staff.• Effective communication skills including: the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner; the ability to facilitate and manage groups through the learning process; the ability to give constructive feedback to encourage learning.Why Apply with SonasExperts in Engineering & Technical talent solutionsWe can provide insights to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerOne point of contact – We will manage all your applications, interviews and negotiationsSONCATAGM26311 Tags:
