You will collaborate with the department engineers in executing all aspects of a variety of challenging and innovative projects centered around electrical design of Data Centre Air Handling Units, Electrical Panel design, general electrical engineering queries and testing. This position requires a candidate to have good interpersonal skills and collaborate with other departments to deliver a full electrical design. The production of CAD drawings and the use of E-plan software will be an integral part of the job working under a senior Electrical engineer. How you will do itProvide technical design support to engineers within the engineering department with specific focus on electrical design engineering.Production of CAD drawings and the use of E Plan software (Training will be provided).Take a leading role in project execution.Creation of submittal packages and drawings based on client requirements.Communicate and interact with external clients.Selection and design of custom air handling equipment and modular data centers including:Design of a variety of Electrical systems for custom air handling and cooling equipment to client’s specifications.Design development and value engineering assistance of data center and modular data centers to support client specific needs.Selection and correct sizing of electrical equipment components associated with air handling equipment and compiling Bills of Materials.Assistance with costing of units and components.Production of schematic drawings, submittal packages and single line drawings.Production of construction drawing packageAssist with the development of new and innovative product lines and refinement of existing products.Interact with production; perform periodic inspections of units under construction.Participate in continuous product improvement.Be involved in many aspects of the business including support for estimating, Factory Witness Testing, Business development and sales, production improvements and marketing.What we look forElectrical engineering degree.3-6 minimum years of related electrical or consulting experience.Some knowledge of equipment and system selection, design, and control. Additional experience in Autocad Electrical or E plan is an advantage.Knowledge of IEC 61439 would be an advantage. Proficient with drafting in electrical AutoCAD / E Plan; demonstrated knowledge in proper drafting standards and practices.Confidence and tact in interacting with clients and colleagues.Has the ability to interact positively with outward facing clients.Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial.Good organizational skills.Self-starting, ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.Commitment to continuous technical learning and personal development, both self-directed and under the guidance of others.Diligent, with an eye for detail.Ability to perform under occasional stressful situations on tight deadlines.#LI-JB5 #LI-onsite
