New Product Development Internship - Ireland

ABEC’s products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, comprehensive site services, bioreactors and fermenters, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilization systems.Position Summary:This is a summer internship position where the intern will get the opportunity to be directly involved in an ABEC Continuous Improvement project. ABEC’s internship program is a project-based and the focus of this internship will be in the assisting of the Chemical Assessment for Mobile Passivation project. Requirements Responsibilities:Ø Comparison between internal passivation process using two chemicals for cleaning and passivation as compared to the mobile passivation process using Citrisurf0Ø Testing of Citrisurf0 on the current test spools and data gatheringØ Defining the market scope on passivation as service Vs passivation and EPØ Complete detailed documentation and reports as it relates to the projectØ Participate in frequent meetings as it relates to the progress of the projectØ Establish recommendations and present project findings to ABEC’s senior leadership teamQualifications:· Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field · Project management and/or research related experience preferred.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent interpersonal skills.· Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
