Facilities / Maintenance Manager, Mullingar

Exciting Opportunity for Facilities and Technical Maintenance Managers. Based in Mullingar, you will manage the upkeep and maintenance of one of the biggest distribution centres our country has to offer (4 times the size of Croke Park, over square meters). This is a world-class recently upgraded energy efficient facility, with a complex transport and logistics hub, a two-storey office wing, car parking spaces, 18 disabled bays, and 32 bicycle spaces, canteen and gym. The Mullingar centre has close to 3, solar panels, which will allow it to generate roughly 20% of its energy needs, which reduces its carbon output by some tonnes annually, enough to power more than homes each year.This is a very busy varied role. you will manage day to day operational processes / costs /budgets and have technical responsibility for the entire Distribution Centre; refrigeration, heating, ventilation, generators, power, fire alarms and warehouse equipment; fork lifts, pallet trucks etc. You will also manage the hard service contractors and some soft service providers such as cleaners also and be part of the wider Company Facilities Management Team. You will adhere to highly compliant procedures, regarding checks and safety Other duties will include;Planning and delegating day to day Maintenance activities.Ensuring remedial action is taken to correct defects identified during internal inspections or during inspections by an outside contractor.Project management and implementation of new concepts, processes, and procedures.Strategic collaboration with departmental stakeholders.Contractor Management, including completion of Site Inductions & Permit to Work documents.Cost analysis and budget management.Purchasing working materials, equipment and consumer goods.Invoice Management including Purchase Order completion.Ensuring audit compliance.On-call service (where necessary).What you'll need to ApplyElectrical, Refrigeration, Building Services or related discipline / tradePrevious experience in a similar role and demonstrate relevant experience upon applicationExcellent MS products skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent interpersonal & communication skills both written and verbal.Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, individually or as part of a team.Strong administration, organizational, documentation and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work under strict timescales to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks at one time ensuring that all tasks are completed.Previous experience in leading a team Can do attitude to include hands on technical maintenance when required.
