<p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The newly created Group Financial Controller (‘GFC’) role is responsible for the overall financial governance and control over the group; owns and runs the month end closing and reporting process; the statutory audit of the group and the various subsidiary companies; and the budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the rest of the finance teams and the business.</p> <p>The GFC will continue developing the dedicated UK&amp;I and BeNe finance teams to the levels required by the Finance strategy and objectives, working with the wider finance team and the business.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Managing the monthly financial closing process, organising the various business reviews, and specifically reviewing cost centres.</li> <li>Producing/reviewing the various automated KPI reports.</li> <li>Providing P&amp;Ls by Record Centre / other business units, enabling the responsible managers to understand and run their business units better.</li> <li>Drafting the Board report for review and finalisation by the Group FD and Group CFO.</li> <li>Producing and ensuring timely submission of various reporting packages to the investors and the lenders.</li> <li>Continue striving for process improvements and shortening of the financial reporting cycle.</li> <li>Responsibility for planning and executing the external audit cycle.</li> <li>Ownership of the financial budget and the relevant forecasts; working in collaboration with the Finance Business Partners and the rest of the team to produce the outcome on a timely manner.</li> <li>Mentor, coach, and develop finance team members to foster a high performing team.</li> <li>Maintaining the Group’s strategy model and providing actuals on a quarterly basis.</li> <li>Provide support to the country controllers and the Group FD with the various tax returns.</li> <li>Ad hoc queries and tasks by the Group FD and Senior Finance leaders.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in running best in class financial close and reporting processes across multiple jurisdictions and group structures.</li> <li>Experience in leading and developing sizeable teams.</li> <li>Experience in managing external group audits.</li> <li>Strong IFRS knowledge.</li> <li>Experience of producing business insight enabling stakeholders to take important decisions.</li> <li>Confidence to present own analysis to key stakeholders with a mix of finance and non-finance backgrounds, tailoring delivery to the audience.</li> <li>Structured individual, focused on process and deadlines.</li> <li>Independent thinker, able to manage, create and prioritise own workload.</li> <li>Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.</li> <li>Strong command of Excel.</li> <li>Qualified Accountant.</li> <li>Previous experience as an Audit Manager within a large corporate environment.</li> <li>Good working knowledge of MS Dynamics F&amp;O and Adaptive Insights.</li> <li>Knowledge of Irish/UK/Dutch/Belgium/Polish taxes would be a plus.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>OASIS is an equal opportunities employer.</strong></p> <p><strong>The Company confirm that our legitimate interests comply with GDPR and data protection.</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>Agencies: </strong>When we require external assistance with our vacancies, we will reach out to our PSL supply chain.
