The Role We are looking for an ambitious, high-achieving Senior Manager seeking a new challenge in a progressive and forward-thinking Audit and Accounts Department. This position, reporting to the audit/accounts director and directly to partners, offers genuine opportunities for progression, challenging projects, and learning and development in a collaborative environment. Excellent organisation, time-management, and communication skills are essential for this role. Responsibilities Manage client expectations and act as the primary contact for clients. Handle specific client needs including non-audit work, due diligence, management accounts, and financial guidance. Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. Monthly/quarterly management account reviews. Year-end statutory account reviews. Financial control system advice. Company secretarial advice and compliance. Lead the firm's accounting technology strategy and manage new solution roll-outs. Assist with financial performance management, including fees, cash collections, and WIP recoverability. Engage in coaching, mentoring, and staff appraisals. Requirements ACA or ACCA with 7+ years PQE. 5+ years relevant experience in practice with strong technical and financial/management accounts skills. Proven management skills. Excellent organisational, time-management, and communication skills. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Surf, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
