Maintenance Assistant

<p>Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this role is to assist with both planned and ad-hoc general maintenance issues that arise across the hotel and estate.&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p>It is a busy and diverse role encompassing many tasks, the successful candidate should be a fast learner and have the ability to multi-task.&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p>This is a full-time permanent position. The working hours for this role are 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Main duties include (but are not limited to:)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct daily and weekly checks of water features, sewerage plant and oil levels</li> <li>Answer intercom/phone and attend to deliveries when required</li> <li>Assist with general maintenance issues in guest bedrooms and general hotel areas as required</li> <li>Preparation of timbers logs for house use</li> <li>Assist the maintenance manager to carry out all work necessary in maintenance and repairs.</li> <li>Ensure golf buggies are maintained and safe to use</li> <li>Painting and repairing items throughout the house and estate as required</li> <li>Identify and report the need for ad-hoc repairs</li> <li>Maintain the workshop and maintenance stores areas in a tidy condition at all times.</li> <li>Ensure our maintenance application is kept up to date at all times</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Skills/Experience required</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have a basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical wiring</li> <li>Ability to multi-task</li> <li>Quick learner</li> <li>Full Irish Drivers licence is required (ability to drive tractor is advantageous)</li> <li>To be a self-motivated maintenance technician and continuously strive for self-improvement.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p>If you think this position is the ideal job for you, then we want to hear from you.</p>
