HGV Driver | Lecks, Shercock, Co. Cavan | Approx 50-60 hr. weekly (Night Shift, Day Shift, Evening Shift) | Min. €45,000 Salary + IRHA Subsistence. Operating since 1984, our Shercock based client is a family business that shares a passion for excellent service and ensuring client consignments reach their destinations promptly, with care taken to provide a courteous, friendly, face-to-face service. As a driver, you can expect to be driving a state of the art, dual temperature vehicle, with modern GPS tracking. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Driver to join their friendly and professional team. As a driver, you will be expected to haul poultry and deliver to shops and depots nationwide, whilst upholding the company’s high standards in record keeping, and complying with RSA directives. Are you the right person for the job? A minimum of two years’ experience. A comprehensive understanding of tachograph legislation. A good level of written and spoken English is required. You must have a valid CE license + CPC up to date. The ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism at all times. Able to work without supervision. A team player, but able to work on own initiative. Proficient in vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting. What will your role look like? Safely transport goods to various destinations across Ireland. Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies, upholding great respect for the Road Safety Authority (RSA) Upholding the company’s high standards of record keeping. Provide professional and courteous service to all clients. Manage and record driving hours using digital tachographs. Assist with any ad hoc duties as required by the transport manager.
