Network and Infrastructure IT Specialist Our Client is looking for an IT Specialist – Network and Infrastructure, to join their IT Department. This is a permanent multifunctional role, based in Meath, and a nice opportunity to gain excellent career experience in a well established company.Responsibilities:Creating, prioritising, maintaining, and progressing roadmaps for network and / or server infrastructureTroubleshooting issues with network and / or server infrastructureEnsuring the network and / or server infrastructure is kept up to date with the latest security patchesEnsuring that there are sufficient disaster recovery plans including backups to recover from an incidentMonitoring the capacity of the network / server infrastructure to advise and implement upgrades as neededProviding technical expertise as part of project teams as and when needed to assess technical requirements and ensure appropriate resource planningAssisting End-Users with queries and issuesPerforming other related duties as required by your supervisor including relief for other members of the teamExperience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline coupled with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar roleCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is an advantageExperience working with Cisco or HPE network switchesExperience working with Cisco Wireless platforms an advantageFamiliarity with Virtualisation Environments (VMWare, Hyper V)Familiarity with managing Windows ServersExperience working in an IT DepartmentStrong problem-solving capabilitiesExperience working in a fast-paced environmentThis role will be full time, Mon – Fri, 8am – 16.30pm.
