The Job:Based with a manufacturing company in Co. Meath, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process of materials, ensuring a consistent and cost-effective supply of raw materials for our operations. This hybrid role allows for a mix of remote and on-site work, offering flexibility while maintaining essential in-person collaboration. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, planning raw material requirements for production sites, and implementing procurement strategies that align with our sustainability goals.Key Responsibilities:Identify and develop relationships with suppliersEvaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to maintain compliance with company standards.Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure a consistent supply of high-quality materials.Analyze market trends and conditions to anticipate supply challenges and opportunities.Collaborate with the operations team to forecast material requirements and align procurement plans.Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Monitor and manage procurement budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Ensure procurement practices align with the company’s sustainability goals and environmental policies.Collaborate with production sites to plan and coordinate the supply of raw materials.Develop and maintain a raw material inventory management system.Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to production sites to avoid disruptions.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
