Our client specializes in providing custom-engineered solutions and manufacturing services for the medical technology industry.The EHS Manager will be responsible for supporting the business and its employees in ensuring a safe place to work, safe systems of work and good work practices, protecting the people, the environment and its surrounds , in line with Corporate and Regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and oversee the company’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management program in accordance with global standards and the CMS.Support the establishment and achievement of EHS targets and objectives for the site.Create and facilitate the implementation of EHS policies and procedures at the site.Offer guidance and assistance to site management to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.Assist in the execution of site EHS projects and events, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.Provide guidance, reports, and necessary data to support the site’s EHS management program.Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs at the site.Maintain an up-to-date risk assessment program for the site.Contribute to the development of EHS Representatives and the EHS Committee.Implement and enforce incident response policies, conduct investigations, and manage reporting.Foster a culture of cross-departmental collaboration focused on protecting people and the environment.Attend regular meetings with the Global EHS team and the Global EHS Advisors forum for alignment and competence development.Accurately maintain the site’s EHS Improvement Register on behalf of the EHS Function.Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to Quality and EHS policies and procedures at all times.RequirementsThird level Degree in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work3+ years’ technical experience in a similar manufacturing environmentDiploma or Degree in Environmental Management is desirableQQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor QualificationAbility to influence employees that do not report directlyAbility to lead meetingsClear verbal and written communicationUnderstand the role of EHS and its impact on the key business driversAbility to work in a fluid, demanding environment.Benefits26 days annual leavePensionHealthcareFlexible workingN/K874ST-IND-23 Tags:
