The primary responsibility is to manage large scale, enterprise-wide Programs with multiple projects and work streams.The role holder will need the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and exercise good judgment in a variety of situations. The Program Manager must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion and attention to detail.The key responsibilities of the role include:Translate and operationalize project/program target state into solutions.Communicate effectively to ensure clear understanding of expectations.Manage and maintain progress across a portfolio of work, continuously managing program risks, issues, and escalations.Liaise between cross-functional stakeholders to align around common objectives.Continuously improve and optimize projects towards efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.Maintain program objectives, risks, issues, and overall status.Manage the project with a forward-looking mindset, proactively anticipating potential issues.Manage dependencies, roadblocks, and learning points.Timely escalate and pursue resolution of any roadblocks.Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities.Maintain timely packaging and archival of completed deliverables.Demonstrate flexibility and agility to pivot to new and/or changing program priorities.Maintain confidentiality of correspondence records in a central repository system.Prioritize and handle multiple projects with accuracy.Deliver a work product that requires minimal revision.Facilitate discussions and reach decisions.Skills/ExperienceThe successful candidate will benefit from having:A deep understanding of project management and portfolio management tools, techniques, and methods.Relevant industry knowledge (financial risk, non-financial risk, regulatory and/or compliance).Technical skills: Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office 365 suite (advanced with Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, MS Project).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Self-motivated, highly flexible, and adaptable to change.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Results-oriented.Knowledge of and experience supporting programs with enterprise risk management.Great skills across communication, facilitation, interpersonal, conflict resolution, team building, and coaching.Ability to establish trust-based relationships with stakeholders.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.Openness to self-learning, improvement, and experimentation.Previous experience serving as a Program Manager or in a relevant role.Working with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
