LEAN Project Engineer

eFlexes is seeking a skilled LEAN Project Engineer on behalf of a Global Leading Aviation company based in Shannon, Co Clare. General Responsibilities:Lead the hands-on management and reporting of the Production hall transformation, including timeline management, stakeholder liaison, and progress reporting.Support all Continuous Improvement activities.Assist in audits of TPM/6S activities.Collaborate with Engineering to drive process improvement.Drive and support structured problem-solving processes such as Kaizen, A3, and 6 Sigma.Provide LEAN perspective support for all NPI activities.Challenge conventional thinking to enhance performance.Support Standard Work and Set-up improvement activities, providing mentorship for product engineers.Duties and Responsibilities:Plan, steer, and monitor project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, resources, and budgets while identifying and mitigating risks.Provide KPI and status reporting at project and sub-project levels.Establish an effective communications plan to ensure transparency of progress.Collaborate with Facilities, Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Quality departments as needed.Drive LEAN initiatives such as 6S/TPM, Standard Work, set-up reductions, and Value Stream mapping.Manage projects under your responsibility to excellence standards.Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures.Person Specification: The ideal candidate should possess:5-7 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.Proven expertise in implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.Experience in leading and motivating teams in fast-paced environments.Demonstrated planning and project management abilities.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify potential project barriers.Expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, SMED, TPM, and schedule management.Excellent collaboration skills with other functional departments.Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and barriers.Diplomacy and negotiation skills.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Proven ability to drive continuous improvement through leadership and motivational techniques.Education:Degree/Masters in an engineering-related discipline or equivalent.
