Job Description: We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Planner with expertise in residential construction to join our team. As part of our six-person team, including two senior professionals, you will play a crucial role in optimising project costs and ensuring the financial success of our residential projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead the cost planning process for residential construction projects, from initial estimation to final budget analysis. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates. Conduct detailed cost analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions. Monitor project budgets throughout the construction phase, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed. Provide timely and accurate financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders, highlighting key cost drivers and project risks. Mentor and support junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices to foster their professional growth and development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, construction management or a related field. 8-10 years or more of experience in cost planning, estimating, or project management within the residential construction sector. Proven track record of successfully managing cost budgets for residential projects of varying sizes and complexity. Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques. Proficiency in construction cost estimating software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision in cost estimation and analysis. Benefits: Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000 annually.
