Discover your exciting role With responsibility for leading the Planning & Scheduling function for the Exyte global data center business, the objective of this position is to ensure the consistent delivery of world-class project outcomes through the effective management of time and performance. A crucial part of the of the role will be fostering a lean management approach, and leading collaboration across the regional, functional and company planning resources within the Group. You will be an active and visible champion of the Exyte Way and work closely with the Director for Project and Construction Management GBU DTC to drive the organisation to a consistent level of excellence for Planning practices and performance, implement strategic initiatives in planning and minimize any variance in schedules from what was originally planned on the DTC project fleet. Explore your tasks and responsibilities Improve and implement the GBU Project Planning & Scheduling strategy to align with wider corporate philosophy, business objectives, Lean management and Last Planner System approaches. Adopt the one ERP approach through the implementation of corporate software solutions for resource management (MMS), planning & scheduling (P6), progress reporting (TMS) to streamline project management processes and improve operational efficiency Provide hands-on support & oversight with project set-up (including promotion of the GBU Project Planning & Scheduling strategy) to ensure processes, systems, tools & effective control are consistently implemented at the earliest possible stage & maintained across the business Update and maintenance of the DTC Planning and Scheduling guideline in line with the Exyte Corporate procedures and Lean Management principles. Ensure the implementation of planning across entire project life cycles from estimating initial baseline performance metrics, determining the current status of projects, estimating future potential of projects, identifying any variances and proposing appropriate action to be taken to recover any deviations. Support teams in cost & schedule risk analysis through the development and assessment of options under various scenarios to reduce risk and enhance predictability of project returns. Provide the foundation for efficient project management and support decision-making through the consistent collection, evaluation and reporting of data related to schedules to measure project progress. Enable an Earned Value Management approach to progress measurement and forecasting of project total cost/date of completion Continually capture and share benchmark data, best practice and innovation for future projects Cultivate a positive and high-performing culture within regional and project teams and encourage an environment in which challenges are shared openly and addressed head-on, fostering teamwork and delivering sustainable results Collaborate closely with corporate, regional area & regional business unit personnel & teams to ensure aligned messaging and approach Further duties on request of full JD Show your expertise 2+ years' experience in the construction industry Experience in a medium or large company in an operational role as part of the management team. Experience in the construction industry preferably in the DTC sector Proven expertise in Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) or EPC environments Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
