Macreddin Village and the Strawberry Tree Restaurant have always placed emphasis on its food provenance through its unique organic food license and through its promotion of Irish wild foods.   In 1988, the Strawberry Tree became the first Irish restaurant to engage a Wild Food Forager. This rare position has become available once again as we now require a Part Time Forager to join our team.   Interest in this unique position, means that you already possess an understanding of wild herbs, leaves, roots, fungi, nuts and berries. As the forager for BrookLodge, you will be working closely with both our Kitchen and Front of House teams alongside working independently at times. Ideally you would possess training in the culinary arts and an appreciation of traditional preservation methods.   If you feel you may be the right candidate for this position then we would love to hear from you, so apply now!
