As a Technology Practice Director at KPMG, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of banking through strategic technology solutions and transformation initiatives.Your experience, skills, and capabilities: 10+ years experience leading and delivering Transformation projects within the Financial Services Sector Previous consulting experience with a strong business development skillset and a proven ability to be a trusted Advisor to Senior Leadership Teams In-depth knowledge of banking systems, financial regulations, and industry-specific challenges in Ireland. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and data modelling. Additional Skills: Strategic thinking and the ability to align technology solutions with the business objectives of banking clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex architectural challenges. Project management expertise to lead architecture projects and teams effectively. Deep understanding of banking-specific technology solutions, including core banking systems, payment processing, and digital banking platforms. Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape in the banking sector in Ireland. Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect: Architecture Strategy: Develop and execute enterprise architecture strategies that align with our banking clients' business goals, digital transformation initiatives, and compliance requirements. Technology Road mapping: Collaborate with clients to create technology roadmaps that guide their investments in technology and enable long-term growth and innovation. Solution Design: Lead the design and review of technology solutions, ensuring they adhere to architectural best practices, security standards, and scalability requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior executives, business leaders, and IT teams to understand their specific needs, challenges, and objectives, and translate these into actionable architectural plans. Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes within the banking sector to provide informed recommendations and drive innovation. Risk Management: Assess technology risks, cybersecurity concerns, and regulatory compliance issues, and provide expert guidance on mitigation strategies. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including architectural blueprints, technical specifications, and design patterns. Collaboration: Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, both within KPMG and with clients, to ensure the successful execution of architectural projects. Governance: Implement and enforce architecture governance processes and standards to maintain consistency and quality in technology solutions.
