Salary: €17.50 - €20 per hour Location: Co. Meath We are hiring for our client, a luxurious property in Co. Meath, seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Sous Chef to support the kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen while maintaining the highest culinary standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Sous Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes. Supervise and lead kitchen staff during service, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of meals. Help with the development of new menu items, seasonal specials, and recipe creation. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring continuous development and high performance. Step in to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef or Head Chef. Requirements: Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a senior role within a high-end or luxury restaurant or hotel. Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
