What’s the OpportunityWe are seeking a dynamic and motivated Mid-Level Product Designer to contribute to design initiatives for , with a particular focus on improving the car buying and selling experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal part in refining the car search journey, striving to elevate user engagement and happiness. Your involvement will be instrumental in adding to the trajectory of our platform, as you bring forth new perspectives and imaginative solutions to improve our marketplace offerings. Reporting directly to the Head of Product, you will be entrusted with maintaining design excellence, encouraging innovation, and delivering outstanding user experiences to set us apart in the market.What will I be doingContribute to high-quality design standards: Play your part in ensuring high quality design standards that enable a flawless and intuitive product experience to our users, while also exploring innovative new directions.Conducting detailed Design Reviews: Utilise feedback to uphold consistency and excellence in design, encouraging a culture that prioritises high-quality work.Solving user problems through design: Collaborate closely with Product to identify user problems or opportunities and build lean innovative solutions to tackle these problems.Advocating for Usability Testing and Research: Champion usability testing, user research, and data-driven decision-making to continuously improve product experiences, iterating based on user feedback.Using data to support design decisions: Utilise available user data and tools (such as GA, Hotjar, Convert) to complement and reinforce design thinking, ensuring that decisions are data informed and user-centric.Crafting Design Visions: Design visions for your responsible product stream aligned with the goals and objectives of our marketplace platform, driving impactful improvements.Contribute to a Positive Team Culture: Bring diversity of thought, inclusivity, and collaboration to the design & product team, contribute valuable perspectives.What skills and experience do I needHistory of crafting beautiful experiences: At least 3-5 years experience in the field of product design or UX/UI fields.Compelling Portfolio: Showcase a portfolio highlighting previous Product/UX/UI Design experience, emphasising problem solving through solutions and their impact on user metrics.Strategic Alignment: Ability to align design efforts with the business strategy of your delivery team, driving significant impact through design initiatives.User-Centred Design: Strong grasp of user-centred design principles, design thinking methodologies, and research practices, with a focus on excellent user experiences and improving key user metrics of your product area.Design Tools Proficiency: Confident using Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar software to enabling effective design delivery and execution.Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication skills to articulate ideas and rationale to cross-functional teams, enabling collaboration and understanding.Agile Environment: Work in an Agile development environment, emphasising iterative design and rapid prototyping in an open and regular feedback culture.Front-End Development Knowledge: Understanding of high level front-end development and the impact on design decisions, supporting collaboration with engineering teams.Product Design Ownership: Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and challenge your own products with a willingness to explore and test new insights.What’s it like to work hereYou will have the opportunity to work with one of Ireland's fastest growing Internet companies.
