Job Description Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented QA Administrator to join their Quality Assurance team in Mitchelstown. The QA Administrator will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and safety standards of their products by supporting the QA team in documentation, audits, and compliance management. The successful candidate will help ensure that all products meet all relevant regulatory, customer, and company requirements. Key Responsibilities: Documentation Management: Maintain and update all QA-related documentation, including product specifications, SOPs, policies, and records. Ensure that all quality records are correctly filed, easily accessible, and regularly reviewed. Assist in the preparation and review of reports on quality metrics, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Compliance & Audits: Support internal and external audits, including BRC, customer, and regulatory audits. Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards (BRC, HACCP, ISO, etc.). Coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) from audits or non-conformances. Supplier and Customer Liaison: Maintain quality-related communications with suppliers and customers. Ensure supplier certificates, accreditations, and specifications are up-to-date and compliant with company standards. Assist with customer complaint logs and ensure timely resolution of complaints in collaboration with the QA team. Quality Systems Support: Assist with the management of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it is kept up-to-date. Help monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Participate in product testing and sample evaluation where necessary. Training & Development: Organize and track employee training in food safety, quality, and compliance. Assist the QA Manager in delivering quality-related training sessions to staff. Administrative Tasks: Handle day-to-day administrative duties within the QA department, including data entry, filing, and report generation. Ensure that all QA databases and logs are maintained accurately and in a timely manner. Requirements Key Requirements: Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field are preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, BRC) is an advantage. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or quality assurance role, preferably within the food industry. Familiarity with QA systems and processes in a manufacturing environment is desirable. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with QMS software is a plus.
