As the Grocery Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, overseeing merchandising, and ensuring exceptional customer service in the grocery department.Salary: €35 – €40kOur client is a well-established grocery retailer committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to their customers. With a focus on fresh produce, gourmet items, and everyday essentials, they strive to create a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience for their local community.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the grocery department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and merchandisingEnsure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising waste and spoilage. Monitor inventory turnover and conduct regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory records.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of productsOversee the receiving, storing, and rotation of merchandise to maintain freshness and quality standardsTrain and supervise grocery department staff, providing guidance on product knowledge, customer service, and safety protocols Requirements:Previous experience in grocery retail management, with a proven track record of successStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, staff, and vendors.Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
