We are now recruiting for an experienced  Stores assistant to join our team. JOB PURPOSE   To ensure that the Store areas are clean and properly stocked at all times. To ensure all department requirements are met and to maintain the standards of stores service within the hotel.   MAIN DUTIES   O To ensure all delivered goods are placed in the correct areas. O To be responsible for decanting all stock. O To be aware of all stock shortages and to inform Manager of shortages when they are discovered. O To be responsible for the ordering of beverage, food and general products. O To order beverage stock according to the three different cost areas. O To be responsible for imputing stock into the Cost system. O To be fully conversant of the function sheet on a weekly basis and stock the areas accordingly. O To be responsible for the upkeep of the keg rooms and cold rooms, ensuring correct stock rotation and maintenance of gases is adhered to. O To ensure the safe keeping of all Stock in his custody. O To ensure all maintenance/ cleaning duties are carried out on a timely basis as per the weekly work sheet. O To ensure all rubbish is ready for collection on the assigned day. O To ensure all cardboard is bailed on a timely basis. O To ensure the food dispenser area is clean at all times. O To promote a positive working atmosphere at all times. O To be fully aware of, and adhere to, fire precautions and fire evacuation procedures. O To wear the correct uniform at all times, including footwear and to adhere to the dress and appearance standards as set out in the Staff handbook. O To participate in training provided by the company. O To assist with any reasonable duties as directed by a Supervisor or Manager. O To participate in all training programmes scheduled for you. O To participate in daily '15 minute' standards training. O Be fully familiar with all Personnel policies and procedures as set out in the Company Staff Handbook and to abide by these at all times. O To familiarise yourself with your departmental SOP (Standards of Procedure Manual) which is available from your Department Manager. O To maintain these departmental 5 star standards at all times. O Responsible for ensuring that all start up documents i.e. Application Form, Contract of Employment, Employee Handbook, Job Description and other relevant forms along with legal requirements such as Photo, Passport, GNIB, letter from college etc.. (in the case of non nationals) are given to the HR Department prior to commencement. O Report any maintenance issues to your supervisor or manager. O Attend departmental meetings as requested. O To participate in job chats and performance appraisals. O To be fully familiar with the complaints procedure and that complaints are dealt with in a courteous and sympathetic fashion and reported to the Duty Manager if necessary.
