IT Project Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Role Introduction: Established in 1992, Applegreen is a leading convenience roadside retailer in the Republic of Ireland, the UK and the US in both large-scale Motorway Service Areas and Travel Plazas, as well as smaller petrol stations. The business has grown to over €3BN in annual revenue, operating 600 Motorway Service Plazas and forecourt sites internationally and employing over 16,000 people. Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and to support this ambitious growth, we are seeking to onboard an IT Project Coordinator (Maternity Cover). An IT Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting project managers and cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects to ensure project delivery and effective communication between teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Assist project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, arranging resources, and ensuring deliverables are on track. Track project progress, monitor milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders in alignment with the project manager. Maintain project documentation, including requirements, meeting minutes, and action items. Coordinate communication between project team members and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information flow. Help identify and resolve issues and risks by working closely with the project team. Support change management activities by assisting in the delivery of new systems or processes. Assist in conducting quality assurance checks to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards where required and appropriate. Collaborate with external partners, as needed, to facilitate project activities. Assist in project resource management, including tracking resource allocation and availability. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline. Stay up to date on project management best practices and industry trends. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field. Project Management certification is a plus. Experience in a project coordination role, preferably in an IT or technology-driven environment. Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools. Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in actions and outputs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Proficient in project management software, collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office suite. Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure. Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to identify and escalate issues when necessary.
