Your new company An insurance start up with an office in Dublin City is looking to recruit an experienced Chartered Accountant with insurance industry and start up experience for their CFO role. The role has come about as the current CFO is moving into a finance transformation role.This insurance agency provides fully remote working and excellent work-life balance with flexible working hours and a 35-hour work week. They have a culture for innovation and change and as a previously placed with client, feedback has been very positive on the company culture.Your new role As the CFO, you will have 1 direct report and manage all financial operations and reporting requirements for Ireland and European MGAs, reporting into a the business stream CFO in US. Your duties will include but are not limited to:Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, audit, and cashflow management, while ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements. Review/preparation of US GAAP financial results for submission to group finance including detailed variance analysisSit on the board of directors providing insight on all relevant financial and operational mattersOversight of all statutory, regulatory (CBI) and tax reporting requirementsLeading SOX controlsOngoing process improvement of all finance systems and processesBusiness partnering with different departments to improve data quality and provide comprehensive insights on business performance (DSO, account turnover, margins tec)Management of third party resources/providersDrive change management projects and implement strategic initiativesWhat you'll need to succeed You must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA)You must have 10+ years' experience in the insurance industry, or similar financial services regulated industriesThe ideal candidate will also have experience in a tech startup - ideally financial services, but tech startups are also of interestYou must have strong systems experience and have been involved in systems implementations, current ERP is MS DynamicsYou must have business partnering experience and proven experience of improving data insights for senior management. While this is a remote role, you must be living in Ireland with full working rights to be considered. Candidates not residing in Ireland can not be considered for this role.What you'll get in return You will be rewarded with a salary of €140,000 - €185,000, a 20% bonus, 25 days annual leave and fully remote working options, flexible working hours and a 35-hour working week.
