Position Overview: You should be a Financial Controller with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and control, with a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the artisan production industry. Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support business objectives. Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management. Implement cost effective systems for international sales. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process to ensure alignment with business goals. Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts to guide decision-making. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements. Cost Control and Optimisation: Monitor and analyse production costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, forecasting liquidity needs and optimising working capital. Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and maintain financial stability. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and facilitate external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory standards. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the company. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial success throughout the organisation. Qualifications: Chartered or Certified Accountant Proven experience as an Accountant / Financial Controller in a manufacturing production setting. Strong knowledge financial reporting standards. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity. Highly skilled with data analysis including highly proficient in MS Suite, including MS Excel, data manipulation etc Experience utilising data from IT systems within a Finance and Manufacturing environment Confident and proficient in preparation of management accounts, budgets, cash-flows and financial modelling. Strong commercial acumen with a drive to effective decisions for improved business performance Strong Corporate presence, with the ability to prepare high quality deliverable for stakeholders.
