The ~3,000 colleagues who encompass GBS direct these capabilities towards achieving Pfizer’s purpose of Breakthroughs that Change Patients lives.The IDM Global Financial Operations Lead is accountable for ensuring local Country Management strategies and planning are in alignment with statutory, legal, regulatory, tax and jurisdictional guidance, for all IDM markets.The role together with BioPharma Finance provides Finance Leadership for the IDM markets, to ensure Pfizer’s continued operations. The IDM Global Financial Operations Lead oversees financial matters with respect to the Commercial Legal Entities for all IDM Markets.This role requires extensive collaboration with BioPharma Finance and Country Management as well as GBS Statutory CoE and the Regional and Global Finance and GBS sites and COE leaderships to ensure the integrity of Pfizer market financial data.The role also includes responsibility for the Global Financial Operations Process Lead and as such drive’s innovation and continuous improvement in all aspects of the GBS value proposition, while developing and sustaining a culture of high performance and leadership for colleagues globally. This includes ensuring operations are delivered in accordance with current process design architecture with a focus on enterprise transformation, strategic process implementation and on process innovation across all areas.As a member of the GBS Statutory, Treasury & OTP Leadership Team, and in partnership with business stakeholders and other GBS functions, will be accountable for ensuring all business objectives are met and that services to Pfizer are best in class. The role is responsible for circa 125 colleagues in 38 different countries.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership & Management of the IDM Global Financial Operations organization including:Lead an integrated GBS culture across the IDM Global Financial Operations teams Dublin site to ensure a respect for diversity and inclusion across the functions, and drive colleague engagement (Changing Lives Together).Partner with Global Process Leads and other functions on key initiatives across IDM.Global Process Design and Continuous ImprovementOperating Model Design and Continuous ImprovementAccountable for market operations team across all international markets who are responsible for accounting related matters for the local legal entities as well representing local Board of Directors as applicable.Manage the performance and development of the team members including Cluster and Market Finance Operations Leads.Identify succession plans and lead talent planning for their organization. Provide coaching and development for team members and create an environment that drives high colleague engagement.Interpret, oversee, and ensure implementation of corporate global policies, site and business specific guidelines and SOPs within the market/cluster.Responsible with Operational leaders for delivering on global process transformation in response to corporate objectives and projects that may impact Global Financial Operations, monitoring wider transformation developments for opportunities to leverage potential benefits.Work with operational leaders in executing global process goals including responsibility for achieving associated budget commitments and business case results.Work with Controllers, Tax, PGS Finance, Corporate Audit, Commercial Business Partners (Country Presidents/Managers) and KPMG to ensure the accuracy of Pfizer Financial StatementsQUALIFICATIONS:University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or Professional accounting designation, such as CPA, Chartered Accountant (as per market norms).15+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business, with significant experience in controllership and/or tax.Leadership: Excellent and proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal /relationship management skills, including executive level interactions; successful experience managing managers and colleagues across wide spectrum of cultures and geographies; high performance history of providing clear direction, team alignment, executing priorities and delivering results.Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional business relationships with senior leaders and finance team peers across borders and virtually.Visible demonstration of and performance record in exemplifying the Pfizer Values and BehavioursOutstanding communication, collaboration, and influence skills; ability to influence at all levels, be persuasive, a good listener and assimilator of diverse ideas and perspectives. Work Location Assignment: FlexibleAdditional InformationIn order to be considered for this position in Ireland you need to be legally eligible to work in Ireland.Please note there is no relocation support available for this position ​How to applyMake a difference today, all suitable candidates should apply with CV below.
