Renewable Energy Construction Site Manager - Remote Scope of Position: The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction, testing, and commissioning of utility-scale solar, energy storage, and wind projects, including civil, structural and electrical scopes under the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) contractors. Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position are: Lead the site team from mobilization through project COD and handover. Ensure compliance and coordination of personnel to HSE policies. Review monthly manhours and safety metrics to ensure compliance with safety goals Participation in HSE activities related to the project site. Manage, support, monitor, and develop site specific QA/QC programs. Manage, support, monitor, and develop site specific Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP). Monitor progress and verify adherence to project quality and industry standards by using ITP and Tracker template documents. Coordinate with project teams on site issues and permitting Administer Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts Review project schedules and coordinate site logistics Plan and execute daily POD, weekly and monthly project meetings Preparation of project status reports, including the weekly IOIs (Items of Interest) Monitor project construction and milestones schedule and confirm with contractors to ensure the project is built in conformance with the issued-for-construction (IFC) plans and specifications. Monitor contractors to ensure that the milestones schedule is being completed in accordance with the EPC Agreement and report any delays or discrepancies to project team for review and possible remedy determinations to meet Commercial Operations, Substantial and Final completion dates Monitor EPC Contractors and confirm that the project is built in accordance with the EPC agreement specifications and scopes. Monitor EPC Contractors to ensure the project is built in accordance with all environmental and compliance mitigation measures. Work with EPC Contractors, local utilities, ISO or RTO for power interconnection requirements. Review and verify contractors’ applications for payment Review and verify validity and integrity of change orders When construction challenges are identified work with Contractors to determine courses of corrective action and/or recovery plans Manage the SCADA hardware installation and documents control Coordinate testing, commissioning, and startup activities Review contractors project major milestones documentation (as part of job books) with the Project Construction Coordinator and report any discrepancies or inconsistencies to project team for further review and remedy determinations Conduct project close-out meeting with contractors and OEMs, collect and report lessons learned Qualifications: Proven track record of accomplishments working as a Site Manager with multiple disciplines including civil, structural and electrical trades Strong commitment to maintain a safe site working environment Clear understanding of permitting and regulatory issues Ability to work efficiently with the EPC construction team from construction through commissioning and commercial operation Capability to document and report project progress accurately Motivation to accomplish objectives for a successful project Experience & Educational Requirements: 5 years relevant industry experience as a Site Manager Basic knowledge and experience in the renewable energy industry Strong knowledge and experience with power generation projects Typically has some level of college education; civil, mechanical, electrical engineering degree preferred Strong organizational, communication and management skills Highly motivated self-starter, friendly personality, good team player, and ability to lead by example Computer proficiency including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications Working Conditions: 100% of the time is spent at a construction site office in a commercial/industrial construction environment utilizing computers and construction documentation such as plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and other project control documents. #J-18808-Ljbffr
