What’s the OpportunityWe are on the lookout for an innovative and driven Senior Product Designer to lead design initiatives for , with a special focus on the automotive industry. In this role, you can expect to be instrumental in revolutionising the car buying and selling experience, driving user engagement and happiness to new levels. In this role, you will be at the forefront of crafting the future of our platform, contributing fresh ideas and creative solutions to improve our marketplace offering.Reporting to the Head of Product, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and maintaining the benchmarks of design quality, encouraging a culture of innovation, and delivering outstanding user experiences that set us apart in the market.What will I be doingSetting and Elevating Design Standards: Define and uphold design standards to ensure a user-friendly, intuitive product experience, pushing the boundaries of innovation in the automotive marketplace.Conducting detailed Design Reviews: Provide insightful feedback to maintain consistency and quality within design, promoting excellence as part of our culture.Solving user problems through design: Collaborate closely with Product to identify user problems or opportunities and create lean innovative solutions to solve these problems.Advocating for Usability Testing and Research: Champion usability testing, user research, and data-driven decision-making to continuously improve product experiences, iterating based on user feedback.Using data to support design decisions: Leverage our wealth of user data and tools (GA, Hotjar, Convert) to complement and strengthen design thinking.Crafting Design Visions: Develop design & product visions aligned with the goals and objectives of our marketplace platform, driving innovative and impactful improvements.Leading by Example: Encourage and empower fellow designers with an innovative approach and thought leadership, contributing to a collaborative and creative work environment.Fostering a Positive Team Culture: Promote diversity of thought, inclusivity, and collaboration within the design team, encouraging every member to contribute their valuable perspectives.What skills and experience do I needCompelling Portfolio: Showcase a portfolio demonstrating previous Product/UX/UI Design experience, highlighting innovative solutions and how they impacted on metricsStrategic Thinking: Ability to align design efforts with overarching business strategy, driving significant impact through design initiativesUser-Centred Design: Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, design thinking, and research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, with a focus on user outstanding user experience happiness and behaviour metricsExpertise in Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar software to enabling effective design delivery and executionCollaboration and Communication: Ability to optimally communicate ideas and rationale to cross functional teams, through strong storytelling abilityAgile Environment: Experience working in an Agile development environment, emphasising iterative design and rapid prototyping in an open and regular feedback cultureFront-End Development Knowledge: Understanding of front-end development technologies and their impact on design decisions, facilitating flawless collaboration with engineering teamsThought Leadership: Demonstrated ability to inspire and influence others through your innovative thinking and willingness to explore and test new ideasWhat’s it like to work hereYou will have the opportunity to work with one of Ireland's fastest growing Internet companies.
