The Storeman is responsible for the efficient management of inventory and the organisation of all CJK stores. This role involves receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the smooth flow of products in and out of the stores. The Storeman will play a critical role in ensuring that stock levels are accurately maintained and that all goods are stored securely and in good condition while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Warehouse Organisation:Organise and maintain the stores to ensure efficient storage and easy access to items.Implement a system where all stores on sites have the same layout for efficiency.Label and categorise products clearly for easy identification and retrieval.Ensure that all items are stored in a manner that preserves their condition and meets safety standards.Keep all stores clean, organised, and free of hazards.Inventory Management:Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery notes or purchase orders.Properly store items in designated locations within the warehouse.Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and movements.Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.Monitor stock levels and report shortages, surpluses, or discrepancies to management.Site Deliveries:Coordinate delivery schedules with site management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.Track and manage the movement of goods in and out of the stores.Quality Control:Inspect goods upon arrival and before dispatch to ensure they meet quality standards.Ensure that goods delivered match the purchase order and delivery docket.Identify and report damaged, defective, or expired products to management.Implement and follow proper procedures for handling and storing hazardous or sensitive materials.Equipment Operation:Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and report any issues.Health and Safety Compliance:Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines within the warehouse.Ensure that all safety equipment is used correctly and that safety procedures are followed.Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Management immediately.Preferred Skills:Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Experience working in a warehouse or construction environment.Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.Full driving license.Experience driving larger vans.Full-Time Position.Competitive salary package.Position based between CJK Offices in North City Business Park, Finglas & Ladytown, Kildare.To apply please email a cover letter and CV to deborah.tighe@cjkeng.ie. #J-18808-Ljbffr
