Health and Safety / EHS Advisor

HSEQ Officer / Advisor Construction Donegal NexGen are supporting a leading Donegal based Construction company in their search for a Health and Safety / EHS Advisor. This company has grown significantly over the years, and has earned the reputation for delivering a Quality End Product. They operate in various Construction and Civil Engineering sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Pharmaceutical, Roads, Groundworks, Retail and Leisure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with preferably Tier 1 Main Contractor experience to join an established and growing company on an exciting portfolio of works. Role: Maintain Company processes and procedures to comply with Safe T Cert, ISO14001 & ISO9001 Ensure the workplace meets safety, health and environment requirements Provide information, advice and support to the site management team and all employees on all aspects of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality issues Liaise with external auditors with particular focus on continuous improvements to the existing management systems, processes and assuring legal compliance Monitor Subcontractors in relation to compliance with current applicable legislation and our Company policies Develop RAMS for the company and review RAMS supplied by subcontractors Maintain and develop O&M Manuals on a project by project basis Develop and maintain site specific Construction Stage Health and Safety Plans, Environmental Management Plans, Quality Plans, Method Statements / Risk Assessments, Training records, permits to work etc. Confident in delivering Safety Talks to all site-based personnel Reporting of near-misses, good-catches and accidents & incidents Minimum Requirements: Hold a recognised Health and Safety qualification Experience carrying out internal ISO Audits Experience in carrying out site-based EHS Audits using company software Minimum 2 years experience in a similar Health and Safety role for a Main Contractor Full Clean Driving Licence Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent MS Office skills If this job isnt quite right for you, but you would still like to register your details with us, or request a consultation to discuss your individual requirements please get in touch.
